Science Fiction (Sci-Fi) is a genre of speculative fiction which deals with a wide range of concepts and themes, such as advanced science/technology, space exploration, extra-terrestrial life and time travel. The first science fiction novel is often considered to be A True Story by Lucian of Samosata written in the 2nd century. His novel includes themes and tropes that are characteristic of science fiction, including interplanetary warfare, extra-terrestrial life and travel to other worlds.
